I had Gastric Bypass and lost a little over 100lbs. than it stopped and I gained it all back...I was 424 when I had surgery now over 3 years later I am almost 400lbs again..I got checked out last year to see if it stretched but they say it didn't. I went through a lot when I had surgery..I almost died I was in hospital for 1 1/2 months 3 weeks of that I was in a CCU and the other time they put me in a normal room....I also got a nice hernia out of the deal which makes me look a lot pregnant which I am not....I watch what I eat I don't eat much but yet I have a weight problem still. I don't know what to do...So in a way I regret having this surgery since I have gained almost all the weight back that I lost....I have tried to talk to people about this but no one seems to want to help.

Oh, excuse me. Let me get my magic wand out.
Eat less and exercise more. It's not rocket science. NO EXCUSES!

I believe we all make choices. One of the most frequent choices we make every day is what goes into our mouthes. I do agree with Lesley. Eating less and exercising more seems to work for me. Good luck.

The surgery doesn't fail the patient. The patient fails the surgery.
EVERY one who follows the rules loses weight after gastric bypass. There is not one documented case of a modern medical mystery -- the ONE person for whom gastric bypass doesn't work.
It worked beautifully for you, you lost over 100 pounds. Then you stopped following the rules. That's it. If you're telling the truth, that your stomach has not completely stretched out again (and it will never be the size of a football again, but it's obviously bigger than a thumb)then you have the choice now, to fill it with quality food and water. Go back to stage one. Start over. It will be harder, but, you brought that on yourself. Suck it up.
As for "no one wants to help" -- I think it's a safe bet that not only did people try to help, an entire medical team tried to help and you disrespected their time, their expertise, their effors, the time of everyone in your meetings and classes, and your insurance company's money, by having surgery and then willingly refusing to follow the rules.
Gastric Bypass is not a magic wand. It's a tool. Pick it up, dust it off, and use it properly, and you'll be on your way.
You have to work harder, exercise more, and seek counseling to find out why you ate yourself to morbid obesity. Again.
This is harsh. I know. But you need something harsh. You need someone to tell you "You did not regain to 400 lbs, after gastric bypass, by virtue of a medical mystery or by "not eating much." You did it knowingly, every time you cheated on yourself and then shrugged your shoulders, thinking "It wasn't much" or "We malabsorb, so I didn't really eat 3,000 calories today."
Get and go to your medical provider and ask for mental health counseling. Eat protein more carbs and fat. Drink more water than soda or juice. Take a walk. Do something proactive, other than eat and dream of the chance you had, and squandered.
