When the time comes, if you think it will come, do something else, which a DOCTOR told a post-op friend. Find something you are allergic to, and rub it in the area. Come in with this allergic irritation, not an infection, when it most pays to do so. For her, it was a brand of laundry soap which she sprayed on every time she had a consult.
