I'm in the beginning stage of getting on the road to wls. Went to the
orientation, filled out my new pt. packet and now I'm waiting to hear
if the program will accept me. I've been trying to challenge myself to
behave as if I've already had the surgery (eating low-fat, no carb, no
sugary sweets, etc) and I've been failing every day. I've been hiding
my binges from my roommates (I've been sneaking fast food delivery
food(s) past them while they're out of the house or busy). I feel so
out of control. I think I'm doomed to live this way/die this way. Maybe
the fates are telling me I won't be approved for surgery. Probably
would've failed anyway. I feel so guilty about being so negative.
Please forgive me if I'm bringing anyone down.

chin up. you can do this! i am about 3 months from my wls and i know it is going to help me change my life. keep in mind its a tool and that a good support system will be essential. you may think you are hiding your binges, but those that love you probably do know. being honest with them will help you be honest with yourself.
