Thats not so bad, really it is not!! Especially if you feel you no support. I am a firm believer that eating low carb and high protein with no sugar at all is important for that first year. Basically no junk. Its hard when you struggle to find things that work and dont make you feel sick or get stuck, but really try to stick to that and see if it helps. Don't you dare give up on yourself. If you can't get any support in your family, find some elsewhere. Use your insurance for some therapy, get to a hospital and use their support group, join several online groups so you don't feel alone in your fight. Hang in there! Only you can make this work, find the help you need, then help yourself!

helping yourself is key. i told no one about my surgery, so don't get any support. and if family or friends did know I'm fairly sure I'd get a lot of hate, so I decided to go it alone. It was the best decision ever! Now I use youtube, Facebook, and online forums. Hang in there and stay the course! And btw, 40 lbs is not bad if you only had your surgery in August!
